Auction successful!

I am so happy at the response I got from everyone who placed a bid for a family picture session. Some people I knew and some I didn't. It's so touching to see so many people from all over, being so willing to reach out and help the Nielsen's and their long recovery ahead of them.

Sarah McGiven and her family will be spending an evening with me to create some beautiful memories with their adorable twin boys.
Sarah, get in touch with me and we'll get things worked out. Go here and it will direct you to Stephanie & Christian's paypal account to make your donation.

Thanks again, and I know that all of the other auctions have had overwhelming success, and some are still going and some have been extended. See here to look at all the other auctions taking place. Thanks to everyone for thinking about the needs of this family. You are all awesome!

Silent Auction to help someone in need.

I received an email from a friend who was telling me about an auction that she was putting a vintage apron in to help a family that has just gone through a very emotional tragedy. Upon reading her email I started reading about this family and the plane crash they were in that took the pilot's life and put the parents in critical condition in the hospital with burns all over their body. (their 4 children were not in the plane, it was a small plane and it was only carrying the pilot and the huband and wife.)

Anyway, Design mom, has encouraged many bloggers to host their own silent auctions to help go towards Stephanie & Christian Nielson's Recovery Fund. If you go to this link you can read more about what happened.

From going through my own tragedy, almost 4 years ago, with the loss of my 15 mth. old son, in an unexpected accident. We recieved a good amount of donations to help with Payton's hospital bills, funeral expenses, and all the other costs that came up at that time.

My heart went out to this family and the children. I hate when you hear about things like this, but I am so grateful that there are so many people willing to reach out and help someone in need. I can never tell everyone that helped us through those beginning stages, whether financially, emotionally, spiritually, and so on, how much they all meant to us and still mean to us. We will never forget all of them.

So, getting to the point of this post, I am auctioning...

ONE family session, (valued at $400)
- includes family group, individuals of kids, and some other groupings (kids together, parents together, etc.), this is for immediate families only
- 4x6 prints of everything from the session
- a high res. CD with all of the edited and ready to print pictures on it available for your personal use only.

Here is how the auction will work:

1. Place your bid by leaving a comment with your bid amount in the comment section on THIS post.

2. You may bid as many times as you want to keep the highest big.

3. Please place your bids in increments of $5.00

4. The auction will end at 10 pm MST on Sunday, August 31st. When the auction has closed, the winner will pay for this prize by paypal to the Stephanie and Christian PayPal account. The winner will then forward the PayPal receipt email to amandapeterson15@yahoo.com and we will arrange the details of your session. If you need help please don't be afraid to ask.

6. If you currently have a session booked with me, you are able to use this towards your session payment, as long as it meets the amount you were planning on already paying for the session.

7. When making your bid in the comment section, please use at least your first name and make sure you leave a valid email address or an open link to your blog.

8. The person with the highest bid at 10 pm on Sunday, August 31st, will win.

Good luck, be generous, 100% of this will go towards Nie Nie's recovery fund.

Check out Nie Nie's blog, (Stephanie) and her outlook on life and motherhood is awesome. We need to pray for her and her hubby to recover and hopefully all of the money earned through all of these auction's taking place will help take care of their children and bills.

So all of you non-comment leavers out there, leave a comment, place a bid, or just say HI.

Bailey & Beau

Here is the photo shoot that I've been trying to get of my kids forever. I'm always so busy taking pictures of everyone else's kids that I rarely get out to do an actual "planned" photo shoot with my own. Don't get me wrong I have millions of pictures of them, but they usually have dirt or food on their faces, and their not in cute and clean clothes. So here they are my two kiddos, my little "stinker" (Bailey), and my little "busy body" (Beau)
I love these two so much, they keep me going each day, they are my motivation for life. (and Jer too of course) Hope you all like, cuz I do!

Warning, tons of pictures ahead!
(sorry if you already saw these on my family blog but I had to put them on here too, since it was a real photo shoot)

This one will definitely be enlarged on a canvas in my home.

This is Bailey towards the end of our shoot waiting very patiently and being "beary" good (as she would say) for her popsicle that I promised.

There's my cute boys (Jer & Beau) walking together.

Probably the two that the grandparent will get.

Both of them getting ready to give each other a big smooch!

When Beau puckers up for a kiss it's the cutest thing, his bottom lip goes under and his top teeth come out! I love it!

As always promised, a good treat at the end of a shoot! My kids looovvvvvee popsicles! (as most kids do)

Richards

I see these guys for individuals, groups, and family shots at least twice a year. They are awesome to shoot, great clothes, adorable, and just fun. Since I feel like I know them from taking their pictures so much I feel like they can be themselves around me which makes a huge difference.
There are sooooooo many good shots so once again there's a ton here. I only wish that I could get this many good shots of my own kids. And, there's more than just one good shot of all 4 of them together. That's usually the hardest shots for me is group shots of kids but not for this crew, they had a blast together.

One of my favorites!

I can never get enough of Halle!

Love both of these!

You've always got to end a successful shoot with a treat! Don't ask how we got the ice cream to the kids! Hot car, 7 minute drive, no licking, torture for Dad and Eden!

Colby, Owen, & Ellie

I keep telling myself that I'm going to stop posting so many pictures from each shoot, but when all of these kids are so stinkin' cute, it's hard not to.
We got everything in this shoot, Colby was a little GQ model, Owen has the best lips and a cute personality, and Ellie was awesome with her big eyes and two little teeth, and was super happy! You'll notice I'm having tons of fun playing around with the pics, getting a little variety here.

Parker

This little guy is the cutest thing ever! He needs to be a children's model. The dimples, the eyes, the hair, everything about him was adorable. He's going to be a big brother soon and his mom is the best mom ever. She is one of my good friends from High School. Michelle I hope you like them as much as I do. I loved editing his pictures because I can't get over how cute he is.

Ashlyn & Brielle

These are two of my stinkin' adorable nieces. They are such beauties with their blonde hair and blue eyes. Brielle (the youngest) is only a month older than Bailey, it's tons of fun to have so many cousins so close. We went to tons of locations for this shoot and I'm glad we did because we got some fun stuff.

Thanks for stopping by amanda peterson photography - blog! Here you will find pictures from recent sessions, and current news and updates. Feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you.
